I feel like time is something that we, as humans, truly take for granted. How often do you just sit there in utter silence and just listen to the ticking of the clock pass you by. No matter what is going on…tragedy, extreme bliss, or just a normal day, time is always the same. It may seem to go by faster or slower than normal depending on certain circumstances, but it is forever constant. You can’t find anything else more constant than time.
How do you measure time? Do you have a watch on your left wrist? Maybe your right wrist?
Do you fit the mold of most of humanity nowadays and keep time by checking your iPhone or other technologically advanced machinery of the sort?
Do you measure it by how much studying you can get done?
Or do you measure time by the people you have in your life?…Those people who make your heart melt and bring a smile to your face. Your friends and family. Those dear to your heart. Can you measure time by the amount of time you think about those people and spend with those people? You should. Those people are who will be the best aspects of your time on Earth.
Maybe you should measure your time by your experiences: good & bad. Your time on this planet is full of events that make such a huge impact on your life.
You see, time is a crazy thing. We all have our own time set for the span of our breathing days. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. There is no such thing as “perfect timing” or “bad timing”. It’s like everything is on a timer that you have plugged into an outlet in some corner of your body. You experience everything as it is supposed to happen, with every tick of the second hand.
You meet people in your life exactly when you are supposed to meet them. You go through things when you are supposed to go through them.
Enjoy the time you have. Your time is something you own and no one can take away from you. Cherish every ounce of it. Claim it. Enjoy it. Live accordingly.
Just keep ticking on, my fellow clocks.
